We are looking for an experienced Vessel Operator for one of our global shipping clients. In this role, you will be responsible to support the safe and efficient operation of the fleet by providing marine expertise across voyage planning, stowage support, schedule coordination, and operational performance. This role works closely with internal teams and vessel Masters to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen marine knowledge, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within vessel operations. The ideal candidate should have a 2nd Mate Certificate of Competency (CoC) and relevant sailing experience on container vessels.
Responsibilities:
- Support vessel operations activities through practical involvement in areas such as weather routing, stowage planning assistance, schedule planning, and operational coordination.
- Prepare and circulate sailing instructions, operational notices, and other key communications to vessels as required.
- Review and endorse port call arrangements for newly chartered vessels to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
- Offer marine expertise during emergency situations or incidents involving vessels within the fleet.
- Conduct vessel visits and collaborate closely with Masters and onboard teams to identify opportunities for improved operational efficiency.
- Support the development, evaluation, and review of technical specifications for newbuilding projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of a 2nd Mate Certificate of Competency (CoC).
- Relevant sailing experience on container vessels.
- Strong working knowledge of container vessel operations and marine practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and perform well under time-sensitive conditions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken.
