We are looking for a Treasury Executive/ Assistant Manager for one of our international shipping clients. The incumbent will manage treasury activities of the company portfolio in charge. He/she will also participate and lead treasury operation projects, and support the team in managing financial risks and investments for the group and business units. The ideal candidate will have minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage treasury activities of the company portfolio in charge including
- Review and monitor cash position, funding forecast, ensure efficient cash management and surplus fund deployment
- Monitor financial risk exposure (FX, interest rate)
- Arrange bank guarantees, LCs and short-term credit facilities
- Manage loan drawdowns / rollovers and ensure timely settlement of financial transactions
- Monitor compliance of covenants in loan agreements, ISDA agreements and other finance agreements, handle audits
- Review capital structure, recommend intercompany settlement or dividend distribution
- Monitor and review financial ratio, treasury performance of the portfolio
- Develop, review and update treasury policies, processes and controls
- Manage relationship with joint venture partners and banks
- Assist the team in managing financial market risks (IRS, FX, FFA) for the group & business units including
- Evaluate exposure
- Monitor financial markets, keep up to date with financial risk products, identity risk areas and hedging strategies, execute approved risk management plans
- Administer derivative counterparty documents, risk policies and counterparty mandates
- Assist in managing and administering the investment portfolio for the group including
- Investment account and infrastructure set up and maintenance
- Recommend investment plan and execute approved investment plan
- Administer investment portfolio (settlement, regulatory filings)
- Actively participate in and lead projects to improve efficiency and smooth treasury operations
- Assist in arranging funding transactions, investment projects
- Assist in ad-hoc projects, departmental tasks, management reporting and general administrative duties
Requirements
- Holds a Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in reading financial statements, financial modeling
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented, independent and analytical with good problem-solving skills
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethics
- Knowledge of Bloomberg and prior experience in TMS will be an advantage
