We are looking for a Senior/ Vessel Manager (Bulk Carriers) for one of our global shipping clients. You will assume full responsibility for the safe operation of a fleet of bulk carrier vessels assigned to you. Besides day-to-day close monitoring of vessels, you will be required to:
Responsibilities:
- Supervise dry-dockings and repairs, carry out vessel inspections, conduct technical investigations, ensure certification and documentation of vessels under your charge are up to date and meet international safety standards.
- Monitor and control spare parts supply to the vessels.
- Manage budgets allocated to vessels and produce regular reports.
- Attend vessels at port and/or short sailing on scheduled visits and prepare vessel inspection reports.
- Drive safe work culture and inspire the shipboard team.
- Coordinate with Operations, QHSE and Fleet Personnel department in smooth & efficient operation of assigned vessels.
Requirements:
- Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency and 2/3 years of shore experience in Technical Management.
- Experience on Bulk Carriers
- Good leadership qualities & strong commitment to safety/compliance procedures are essentially needed in our organization.
- You should be professionally sound, highly motivated and a good team player.
- Good proficiency in English communication required.
