Sales Manager (Data Center)

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Sales Manager for one of our global clients to lead their Data Center Segment across Southeast Asia. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for defining sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and closing high-value deals with key accounts, consultants, and system integrators. Your goal is to aggressively drive profitable growth by converting the Data Center project pipeline into successful orders.

The ideal candidate would have proven track record in both direct and channel sales and have good experience in the power generation sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Locate, develop, and negotiate business relationships with potential and existing key accounts, influencers, and decision-makers in the Data Center space.
  • Strategic Planning: Establish budgetary forecasts and sales volume targets specifically for the Southeast Asia Data Center market.
  • Pipeline Management: Build and advance a robust opportunity pipeline, ensuring all data is accurately managed through the CRM system until deal closure.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate long-term relationships with end customers and contractors, working closely with regional and global teams to deliver persuasive pitches.
  • Distribution Support: Collaborate with distribution partners to provide project guidance on pricing, quotation strategies, and technical support.
  • Market Intelligence: Analyze market conditions and competitive positioning to provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Brand Advocacy: Represent the company at trade events and associations. Work with engineering teams to prepare technical papers and presentation materials for industry conferences.
  • Technical Expertise: Act as the regional expert in Data Center power products, industry standards, and on-site power system design/integration.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of relevant sales experience in the power generation industry.
  • Segment Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Data Center segment is critical.
  • Track Record: Proven success in both direct and channel sales, with the ability to negotiate with senior executives.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% across the region.
  • Competencies: Results-driven, strong team player, and excellent communicator who can stimulate new thinking while remaining customer-focused.
