We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Compensation & Benefits (C&B), HCMS, and People Operations for a leading multinational organization headquartered in Singapore. With a global workforce of approximately 20,000 employees, including a significant blue-collar workforce, this company is public-listed and operates across multiple countries. The role is a senior management position, reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), and overseeing a team of four managers.
The Head of C&B, HCMS, and People Operations will lead and manage the companys compensation and benefits strategy, human capital management system (HCMS), and people operations functions. The role requires a strong leader with expertise in C&B, HRIS implementation, and stakeholder management to drive organizational goals. This position will also lead the ongoing rollout of the companys new HRIS system (SuccessFactors), harmonizing requirements across business units locally and globally.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Compensation & Benefits Leadership:
- Oversee and harmonize existing C&B systems across countries, focusing on senior-level alignment.
- Manage executive compensation structures, including long-term incentives like stock options and performance shares.
- Ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices through regular market benchmarking and job evaluations.
- Develop and implement salary structures, bonus programs, and other reward systems to support business objectives.
2) HRIS Implementation and Oversight:
- Lead the rollout of the new HRIS system (SuccessFactors), focusing on initial implementation in Singapore and Malaysia.
- Lead and guide the HRIS Project Manager to harmonize system requirements across business units.
- Drive project objectives, ensuring alignment with both local and global organizational needs.
- Provide strategic direction for optimizing the systems capabilities and ensuring seamless integration with HR processes and adhering to project timeline.
3) People Operations Leadership:
- Oversee and streamline people operations processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Work closely with People Operations Managers to standardize practices and improve service delivery.
- Address operational challenges and enhance employee experience through innovative solutions.
4) Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of four managers, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CHRO and other senior leaders on C&B, HCMS, and people operations matters.
5) Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with senior executives and business unit leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Manage complex stakeholder expectations during the implementation of new systems and processes.
Challenges:
- Balancing and integrating the responsibilities of C&B, HRIS, and People Operations.
- Leading the successful rollout of SuccessFactors, ensuring harmonization across diverse business units globally.
- Motivating and managing a diverse team while navigating complex stakeholder relationships.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree or HR certification (e.g., CCP, GRP) will be an advantage.
- At least 12 years of progressive experience in C&B, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role in a large multinational corporation.
- Proven experience managing executive compensation, including long-term incentives.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS implementation, particularly SuccessFactors, and the ability to drive system optimization.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities to drive data-informed decisions.
- Familiarity with global workforce dynamics and the ability to navigate cultural and regulatory differences.
