We are looking for an experienced Global Customer Success, Senior Manager for one of our leading ship owner clients. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer directly, he/she will be responsible for management of customers’ business requirements to strengthen partnerships and grow business opportunities. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the containerized shipping industry with good people management skills, along with excellent persuasion and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
Customer
- Oversee a portfolio of 2-3 corporate customers on a global scale.
- Lead a team of 2-3 individuals, potentially comprising fellow account managers and assistant account managers.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive volume and revenue growth for the accounts under your purview.
- Cultivate strong, multi-level relationships and rapport with key customers worldwide, with a focus on deepening, expanding, and elevating our engagement within their organizations to gain a competitive edge.
- Stay informed about your customers’ strategies and create plans and deals that align with their specific needs.
- Monitor, assess, and analyze key account metrics.
- Collaborate with regional marketing teams and business units to ensure the effective management and implementation of strategies for your assigned customers.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the market, the global products offered by the customer, and the competitive landscape.
- Work closely with other Global Account Managers, Business Unit Directors, Trade Departments, and Senior Management to achieve shared objectives.
Processes & System
- Ensuring that commercial processes are reviewed regularly and updated.
- Best practices of contract administration are shared amongst regional hubs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in containerized shipping industry.
- Experience in key account management and building relationships with MNCs with global footprint
- Skilled in persuasion, negotiation, and the ability to manage and develop relationships independently.
- Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Able to travel overseas as part of business requirements
