Global Customer Engagement Manager

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Global Customer Engagement Manager for one of our global shipping clients. Reporting to the Head of Global Customer Engagement, he/she will be responsible for management of customers’ business requirements to strengthen partnerships and grow business opportunities. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the containerized shipping industry, along with excellent persuasion and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

Customer

  • Global Account Manager for 2-3 corporate customers.
  • Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with key global customers to accomplish growth by providing sustainable solutions.
  • Focused on sourcing opportunities and drive development plans converting leads into sales.
  • Serve as contact point for key customers and internal teams.
  • Be the first to know about customers’ strategies and development plans so that we can align ourselves to their needs.
  • Respectfully respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints in an efficient/effective manner.
  • Measures, tracks, and analyzes key account metrics.
  • All round understanding of the market, the global products offer by customer and competitor; And devise a marketing strategy to better position our product offering to the customers.
  • Ownership of revenue and contract management tender negotiations.

Processes & System

  • Ensuring that commercial processes are reviewed regularly and updated.
  • Best practices of contract administration are shared amongst regional hubs.
  • Cross hubs management of structured deals and tender negotiations.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in containerized shipping industry.
  • Experience in key account management.
  • Skilled in persuasion, negotiation, and the ability to manage and develop relationships independently.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • A team player, strategic thinker and have an inquisitive mindset.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
