We are looking for a self-driven and hands-on General Manager / Assistant GM (Marine Services) for a well-established marine engineering & services business that is based in Singapore to lead the company’s marine operations, service delivery and commercial sales.

Key Responsibilities
Main Scope
- Ship spares operations (high-volume, fast turnaround, customer-driven environment)
- Engine sales support & technical advisory
- After-sales service delivery, troubleshooting and customer escalations
- Process improvement & systems enhancement to drive productivity and service standards
People Leadership
This is not just an operations role. You will be expected to lead, uplift and retain valuable team members in:
- Driving performance and accountability through clear direction and coaching
- Building a positive team culture that encourages ownership and pride in work
- Motivating and develop engineers and coordinators to grow into stronger capabilities
- Improving team stability and retention through strong ground leadership and engagement
Requirements
Strong engineering background with hands-on knowledge in:
- 4-stroke marine engines, power generators auxiliary marine equipment / machinery
- Proven leadership track record leading a sizeable team in a similar industry setting, preferably within marine engineering services, marine equipment distribution, ship spares, engine services, or related after-market environments.
- High integrity and professionalism, trusted to represent the company.
- Highly self-motivated, hands-on, and execution focused.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management — able to win trust and handle pressure.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high expectations environment
- Grounded, practical and accountable leadership style
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working with systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Chinese-speaking is an advantage as this role will interface regularly with team that are based in China.
