We are looking for a proactive and experienced Financial Analyst, Accounting for one of our global shipping clients. The ideal candidate would have strong knowledge on IFRS and full cycle of accounting experience. He/she would also have at least 1-2 years of experiences in leading a small team and is responsible for preparing management accounts and annual audited statutory accounts. Being proficient in Oracle cloud financial system will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve monthly account and bank reconciliations, accruals, balance sheet schedules, intercompany postings, and outstanding balances
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts
- Supervise accounting team members and ensure timeliness, accuracy, and integrity
- Ensure that statutory filing and tax reporting requirements are met
- Review and ensure optimal cash flow management for local overhead expenses
- Review and approve ad-hoc payments
- Prepare monthly overhead reporting including a review of transfer pricing entries
- Responsible for preparation, completion, and filing of annual audited statutory accounts for 3 corporate entities
- Co-ordinate with internal tax team to facilitate the preparation of estimated chargeable income, income tax computations, tax organizer files, and other relevant documentation
- Review and submission of quarterly GST filings
- Review and prepare internal management reports as required
- Participate in projects as required by management
- Identify and implement process changes and improvements
- Liaise with company secretary, auditors, banks, tax authorities, and colleagues from other offices
Requirements
- Possess an accountancy degree and have three years of experience with a sound knowledge of financial and accounting practices and reporting standards (e.g. IFRS)
- Professional qualification preferred (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CA)
- Possess a can-do attitude and has a proactive approach to work
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Highly numerate – can see trends and pinpoint reporting errors rapidly
- Logical and analytical thinker who is accurate and attentive to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to supervise and coach employees
