We are looking for a Trade Finance & Credit Analyst for one of our global shipping clients. The candidate will support the Treasury team in trade finance and corporate treasury functions. The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of experience in trade finance experience from the bank and corporate treasury experience. He/she would also have experience in Fusion (Risk Management)/ Kyriba (TMS) and is familiar with the O&G industry.
Trade Finance function:
- Full spectrum of trade finance function – LC placement with banks, checking of LC formats for sales and purchases to ensure that they are issued / received in a timely manner as per trade finance facilities while ensuring that all issues and concerns are well addressed until receipt of sales proceeds
- Input transaction in the system (Fusion), monitor transaction position and provide prompt updates to the banks about the status of the transaction to ensure all receivables and payables are processed in a timely manner
- Liaise closely with cargo operator on potential documentary or trade finance issues if required and call for financial hold before discharge if credit is not in place
Corporate Treasury function:
- Maintain, update and manage loan portfolio including loan drawdown, settlement of interest payment, repayment, etc via Kyriba (TMS)
- Provide assistance in negotiation of new credit facilities or annual review with panel banks
- Perform onboarding / KYC and credit review on existing and potential counterparties
- Cash flow management and forecasting of cash requirement for day to day operation
- Settlement of derivative transactions, any MTM or margin call requirements
- Prepare / process invoices and ensure such settlements are booked accordingly
- Support the team in general administration duties, ad-hoc projects and tasks
Requirements:
- Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in both trade finance and corporate treasury
- Experience with Fusion (Risk Management) / Kyriba (TMS)
- Familiar with the Oil / Gas industry
- Great attention to data/numerical accuracy
- Understanding of banking credit lines and finance structure
- Team player with positive attitude, good interpersonal skills
