We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Business Controller for one of our global shipping clients. This role is responsible for managing the reliability of the financial information and related analysis for the fleet of vessels. The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of experience in accounts especially in AP/AR & GL. He/she would have an eye for details and be able to work independently as well as in a team.
Responsibilities
- Participate to the monthly closing process
- Ensure the costs booking accuracy
- Analyze monthly gaps between actual and budget/forecast
- Analyzing the year prognosis
- Perform monthly financial review with the fleet team
- Produce monthly review synthesis to the business control manager
- Provide support to build budget and forecast
- Participate to process and tool improvement
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in accountancy or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in accounts
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Accounting experience from ship management industry will be an advantage
- Meticulous and accuracy are essential
- Possess initiative and responsible
- Systematic and well organised
- Able to work under tight reporting deadlines
- Team player and pleasant personality
