We are looking for an experienced Bunker Procurement Manager for one of our global shipping clients to manage the bunker procurement process of the company. As the Bunker Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing bunker fuel from suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of bunker fuel to our vessels. You will also be responsible for managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for the procurement of bunker fuel.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate pricing and contractual terms.
- Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery of bunker fuel.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of bunker fuel to our vessels.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including environmental and safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of bunker fuel suppliers and prices.
- Analyze and report on bunker fuel procurement performance to senior management.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in the bunker procurement process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in bunker fuel procurement or a similar role.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build strong supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of international and Singapore bunker fuel markets and regulations.
- Flair for numbers and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
