Assistant Treasury Manager (Maritime)

We are looking for an experienced and highly analytical Assistant Manager, Treasury for a global shipping client. Reporting to the Head of Treasury, the Assistant Manager will manage the treasury activities of the company and participate and lead treasury operations projects. He/she will also support financing activities and tenders. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in Treasury or Corporate Finance and is a good team player with excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Reuters, Bloomberg and prior experience in TMS will be an advantage.

Job Description

  • Manage treasury activities of the company portfolio in charge including
    • Review and monitor cash position, funding forecast, ensure efficient cash management and surplus fund deployment
    • Monitor financial risk exposure (FX, interest rate), develop solutions with risk management team
    • Arrange bank guarantees, LCs and short-term credit facilities
    • Manage loan drawdowns / rollovers and ensure timely settlement of financial transactions
    • Monitor compliance of covenants in loan agreements, ISDA agreements and other finance agreements, handle audits
    • Review capital structure, recommend intercompany settlement or dividend distribution
    • Monitor and review financial ratio, treasury performance of the portfolio
    • Develop, review and update treasury policies, processes and controls
    • Manage relationship with joint venture partners and banks
  • Actively participate in and lead projects to improve efficiency and smooth treasury operation
  • Support FSRU/LNG tenders/projects with focus in treasury requirement such as cash repatriation, treasury infrastructure and ongoing operation requirements
  • Assist in arranging funding transactions, investment projects

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance / Accounting from recognized university
  • Minimum 4 years’ relevant work experience preferably in treasury or corporate finance
  • Proficiency in reading financial statements and financial modeling
  • Has a good eye for detail and team player with positive attitude
  • Independent and analytical with good problem-solving skills
