We are looking for an experienced and proactive Application Developer/ Senior Application Developer for one of our shipping clients. He/she would contribute to the IT team of the company by designing, developing, and maintaining software systems based on provided design and guidance from the team lead. The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of active hands-on experience in application development, independent, good organization, communication and troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
- Comprehend business requisites and translate them into integral features within applications.
- Evaluate change requests, providing estimates for efforts required and analyzing potential impacts.
- Rectify and debug applications, resolving technical issues efficiently.
- Provide consistent support to sustain the operationality of application systems.
- Code robust and high-quality source programs to deliver complete applications within specified timelines.
- Conduct comprehensive functional and non-functional testing prior to application releases.
- Generate technical documents and manuals to appropriately document software solutions.
- Regularly update and communicate weekly progress reports on work accomplishments.
Requirements
- Possession of a university degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience of at least 3 years in active application development.
- Proficiency in crafting both web-based and windows-based applications.
- Competence in working with technologies such as ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, Angular JS, Vue.js, and SQL Server (2012 or later).
- Familiarity with utilizing SQL Reporting Services for creating reports.
- Exposure to project development within an Agile Scrum Methodology framework.
- Understanding Azure technologies will be an advantage.
- For the Senior role: 5 or more years of relevant experience.
